Guideline Control 3.0 Fly Line

Control 3.0 is a modern WF line with a short head length, with a long, continuous front taper backed by a shorter, level belly section that produces a noticeable load in the line. A medium-length rear taper improves ease of handling with the head outside the rod. A further aid to good line control is the 3 m handling line between the rear taper and the running line. That section makes it possible to hold a little more of the head length outside the rod tip without losing control as you cast.

 

The front taper measures 5.1 metres in a #5 and guarantees good power transfer and delicate presentation.
The belly is 2.0 m and the rear taper 1.8 m, and the main weight of the line sits towards the back, which makes it load the rod perfectly at every distance. It also has a short rear taper that makes the line very well suited to special casts. Control 3.0 has a floating coating for good floatation and is slick and easy to shoot. It has dual colours for easy identification of the transition between head and running line. The line comes with small factory-made loops at both ends and has a printed identification mark about 50 cm from the tip. The colour is a pale lime green head with a sky grey running line.
The head length is 8.75 metres including the rear taper in line weights 4-6 and 9.25 metres in line weights 7-8.
