NT11 fly rods are the result of harnessing the latest and most sophisticated SOA (state of the art) graphite materials used in today's aerospace industry.
When applied and used in fishing rods, some remarkable benefits are achieved.
The most obvious effect is astonishing recovery power and crispness in the blank, created by combining the incredible shielding and strength-boosting effects of T1100 graphite with layers of the highest-modulus graphite we have ever used in any fly rod to date.

For you as an angler, the above properties are built into a rod series that has the lowest blank weight yet the highest breaking strain of any other rod in our line-up, and probably in the whole fly rod market.

NT11 Trout fly rods are built to be excellent, versatile fishing rods for fly casters of every level. Enjoying a rod with NT11 technology, you should expect nothing less than a high-end experience. NT11 trout rods have a crisp, powerful medium-flex action with unmatched recovery speed. The feel is light and pleasant in the tip section, yet stiff enough to be accurate and to push the load further down the blank so they are extremely stable and nimble. These rods work progressively as you load them, with a distinct lower section that gives a noticeable kick. The action in these rods is highly progressive and suits casters of every level: give them a hard time and they simply work harder! These rods are super light with great sensitivity — the 9 ft #5 weighs just 71 grams!

NT11 #4 9' - 4 piece

The 4 wt is a super versatile dry fly rod that handles every size of tippet and different types of water. The action is very smooth and unbeatable for handling big trout on fine leaders. As you cast, you will feel every part of the rod come alive as you add more load. The rod has a deep 3/4 flex but is stiff enough to be a dream for anglers of every level. The NT11 904 tolerates rapid changes of tempo, and the unique combination of materials makes it very stable and crisp.

NT11 #5 9' - 4 piece

This 5 wt is exactly what a great all-round 5 wt should be, with a focus on normal-sized flies and tippets, a perfect tool for dries, nymphs and smaller streamers alike. The 5 wt has a slightly stiffer lower section and feels more like a medium-flex rod compared with the 4 wt — the properties needed to handle bigger fish and a wider selection of flies and fishing techniques. Millimetre accuracy, a pleasant, crisp action with great sensitivity in the tip section for fishing at short and medium range, and the power and backbone to be faultless at distance.

This rod is built to excel in the most demanding weather conditions, with bigger flies and bigger fish. The rod's flex is shorter and the recovery faster still. To match the way this rod is used, we have fitted it with a delicate full-wells grip and a fighting butt.

NT11 #4 9'9" - 4 piece.

With its extra length and higher line weight, the 9'9" #4 is better suited to bigger water than its smaller counterpart. With the same excellent action and flex, it remains a perfect tool for advanced, technical river fishing. Its extra length and structure also make it ideal for stillwater fishing or deep wading. This rod handles bigger flies with ease and is a genuinely versatile, light trout rod.

DETAILS

T1100 CAP technology delivers uncompromising strength, performance and reliability.
The blank sections have a matt satin finish with a carbon grey coating that gives the rods a stealthy, elegant, understated look.
Every rod is fitted with beautiful FLOR-grade cork, and on the fighting butts you will find a burled cork reinforcement. FLOR is the top grade of cork, with the greatest density and toughness, which will stand years of use and still look beautiful.
Stripping guide with a lightweight titanium frame. The remaining single-foot guides are the highest-quality stainless steel with a titanium coating.
The reel seats are custom designed by our own R&D team, with a hard-anodised semi-matt finish that is highly scratch resistant.
All the guides are wrapped with amber thread, and every ferrule, stripping guide and logo area is finished with rust orange wraps.
Every rod comes with a light, hard-wearing rod bag made from 4-way stretch nylon, and the rod tubes are made from lightweight polycarbonate with a tough polyester cloth cover and a natural leather logo patch.

 

C.A.P T1100 TECHNOLOGY

NT11 rods use an ultra-high-elasticity, low-resin 46T material that allows us to create feather-light blanks with a crisp feel that greatly improves sensitivity. Layers of T1100 graphite with extremely high tensile and compressive strength are then added both inside and outside the 46T material, creating an incredibly strong wall and base for unmatched performance, durability and reliability throughout the blank sections. Alongside this, we use a carbon scrim material with a patented CAP (complex axial pattern) in a 0, 45, 90 and -45 degree cross-built structure. This produces ultra-fast recovery speed, increases casting distance and improves compressive strength. High-strength TORAYCA NANOALLOY® resin-reinforced graphite improves toughness and increases the durability of the rods.


Casting and fighting fish cause countless amounts of flexing and unloading of the blank; the nanomaterial prevents damage from external knocks, internal stresses or fatigue. The material properties built into our NT11 blanks can be described in these simple words: EXTREME DURABILITY, LOW WEIGHT and UNMATCHED RECOVERY SPEED. Making a strong, extremely light blank is the ultimate goal of fishing rod development. But in a standard manufacturing process, a rod risks breaking too easily if it is light and thin-walled. It also often ends up too heavy if it is built to be strong enough. The properties and performance of our NT11 rods are hard for ordinary manufacturers to imitate, since we use the best materials available together with the best manufacturing and reinforcement technologies available to achieve an ideal structure in the rod blanks.
