With a finely tuned blank and well-considered details, the Embrace Euro Nymph kit is a well-balanced fly fishing outfit for every kind of modern nymphing.
It is the perfect choice for beginners after a solid introduction to fly fishing, while its performance also appeals to experienced anglers looking for a dedicated euro-nymphing rod or a dependable back-up outfit.
Crisp and sensitive
This kit includes what we believe is the ideal rod length and line weight for euro nymphing. At 10'6", it gives excellent reach while keeping a crisp action and a sensitive feel. The #3 line rating is the one most used for modern nymphing techniques, which makes it suitable for everything from small streams to larger rivers, and adaptable to nymphs of various sizes and weights. Thanks to its medium/tip flex and medium-fast recovery, the rod is exceptionally easy to use.
Smooth, controlled casts.
Although it is not designed for traditional WF line casting, it will make smooth, controlled casts when paired with a well-balanced fly line. The rod has all the essential fittings: a down-locking reel seat for optimum balance, a slim, sensitive cork grip, and a snake guide close to the tip to stop the line catching. The NOVA 46 fly reel is weighted perfectly to balance the rod and has a full-frame design to stop fine lines slipping between spool and frame.
Dedicated Euro Hi Viz monofilament
To the backing we have added 50 metres of our new EURO HI VIZ monofilament in solid bright yellow, 0.20 mm. This monofilament has excellent properties: it has no memory, it does not tangle easily and it does not cling to the rod the way other monofilaments do. Other advantages of this line are lower friction and longer casts, and it does not sag. A tippet ring has been added to the yellow line. Everything is ready to go.
Each outfit comes pre-set with:
• Embrace #3 fly rod, 10'6" (3.2 m), designed for modern euro nymphing.
• NOVA 46 fly reel: tough, light and made from 100% recycled materials.
• 0.20 mm Euro HI VIZ monofilament in bright yellow.
• 20 lb Dacron backing, in case a big fish swims off with it.
• A tough Cordura tube with a built-in reel compartment, for easy carrying and protection.
Designed to cast effortlessly and perform brilliantly: just tie on a fly and you are ready for the water.
